@Robespierr How did Shields rob Akiyama? Akiyama didn’t do shit! All Akiyama did was stand in front of Shields and do judo throws, where as Shields utilized his stand up game against Akiyama and landed a lot of punches. Shields didn’t rob Akiyama. Shields is more dangerous at middle weight. He cuts too much to compete in Welterweight.

Yep, although Im one of the haters, Ive had to admit that Jake won that fight. He have a heart of a lion in every fight.Now, I’m only hopes that he tuned down his talking tone and be a little more humble when winning a fight that he clearly got more damage than the other guys.

@Robespierr He didn’t rob Akiyama of anything ? He won every round decisively with striking, and at the end he took his back and almost choked him out, not to mention the guy just lost his father a short while back

He was a big superstars in Japan, until he fight Sakuraba. And do you really think that the Jap were behind Shields? I think Korean have bigger issues with the japs. At least Jap allows Korean idol and drama being show on their TV, but can u said the same to the Korean TV? I dont think so. And FYI, some of the Korean idol, survives in Japan when the whole Korean’s TV is against them.

The reason why the Japanese crowd was chearing for Sheilds reveals alot about Japanese cultural bias against anyone with Korean blood.
Akiyama is a courageous man for living under such discrimination and hatred by Japanese people.

People need to understand that “greasing” has always been an excuse for fighters who lose…especially in PRIDE against Japanese fighters.
People also need to understand that Akiyama is actually Korean by heritage, but a Japanese citizen. Japanese HATE Koreans and will forever make excuses when they lose anything to a Korean.
For example, when Yuna Kim won GOLD in figure skating…Japanese called her “cheater!” WOW! They still do.
Sheilds should’ve been more careful with his words.

@doccdg and he did very little in nashville. miller was out of line and it just happens he bumped a guy who just beat dan henderson, the number 2 lhw in the world right now and two weight class champ of pride, while his team of other top ten world ranked mixed martial artists surrounded him. two of them are known for their tempers and nastiness. shocking they took a disliking to millers goofball antics. i dont recall jake doing all that much physically. miller is lucky for security.
